First Flowers

Spring is on it’s way and our auriculas are ready to go. First out of the blocks is Primula auricula Crimple, with Warpaint ready to burst.

We visited Edinburgh’s beautiful Botanical Gardens this week, Asa and Annie showed us round their favourite places and it was gorgeous. A stop at Green Pea Studio’s lovely stall at Stockbridge market yielded a psychedelic primula. We had a wonderful trip….

We also had a fabulous visit to Pottertons Nursery alpine nursery and garden in Lincolnshire this week, half an hour from the Humber Bridge. What a lovely welcome,  highly recommend a visit – look forward to going again for the plant fair open day on May 27th. So many plants to choose from! Here’s our little haul below…Oh, and we saw a Marsh Harrier on the way home!
